This course dives into prenatal anatomy and physiology to expand understanding, knowledge, and confidence around working with the pregnant body and addresses the many ways massage therapists can become a bridge to autonomous, whole-person care during pregnancy. The course will also explore how changes in the body may be experienced very differently among individuals during each unique pregnancy and how to empathetically and effectively communicate this information to clients. 

This course will review the various presentations and other clinically relevant characteristics of depression and anxiety.  A few of the topics included are signs and symptoms, available treatments, and age and gender differences in clinical presentation.  Participants will also examine current research supporting benefits of massage therapy as a part of the treatment for these conditions.   

This course addresses assessment and treatment of the gluteal region through application of a conservative yet effective approach, perfect for clients with concerns about modesty and hesitation often stemming from unfamiliarity with the significant therapeutic benefits. Techniques addressed in this course offer a nonintrusive approach that may be performed with draping or with the client fully clothed.
